Signs of an Opioid Overdose
- Pale, blue, or cold skin or lips
- Slow, shallow, or stopped breathing
- Limp body and inability to speak
- Choking or gurgling sounds
- Pinpoint (extremely small) pupils
- Loss of consciousness or deep sleep
What to do: Call 911 immediately. Administer Naloxone (Narcan) if available. Perform rescue breathing or CPR if trained. Stay with the person until medical responders arrive.
